artist statement

"Sophia Tonti is a Jesus follower and artist based in Plain City, OH. She believes that all of her creativity and artistic abilities were derived from God the Creator as we were made in His creative image.

Using mediums including oil paint, clay, digital paintings, graphite, colored pencils, and many more, Sophia uses art to express the feelings that she is unable to express with words. A common visual theme across her work is abstraction. Focusing a fair amount on abstract oil paintings, she intends to represent her journey as a rising artist in a colorful and truthful respect.

Sophia graduated from Cedarville University in May of 2024 with a BA in Studio Art. As an introverted homebody she likes to spend time at home with her family. Her favorite pastime is curling up in her chair, listening to videos about her current interests, and working on her current art projects."
